About Project
Digital Lighthouse is a multidisciplinary research project that aims to understand and propose solutions to the complex problem of disseminating disinformation through social networks. Researchers from different fields of knowledge participate in this project, such as: Sociology, Journalism, Computing Science and Law. In this project, we understand that only multidisciplinary solutions will be able to face the phenomenon of disinformation.
In this context, the Digital Lighthouse project has different research lines:
- Architectures for Real-Time Disinformation Monitoring
- Intelligent Algorithms for Automatic Classification of Disinformation, including Text, Image, Audio and Video
- Identification of Fake News Super-Spreaders
- Identification of means and patterns of spreading misinformation
- Development of Public Policies to Confront the Disinformation Phenomenon
- Development of Media Education Programs
- Qualitative and Quantitative Sociological Analysis
